The main benefit of an all-in-one HCM solution is the gains in HCM automation and efficiency throughout your organization. There are many great automation enhancements in release 71. Check out the new automation features from e-signatures, and multi-channel broadcast messenger, to master time sheets and performance review workflows. OnePoint can help reduce administration time and increase efficiency with the flexibility adapt to an increasingly paperless environment.
1. e-Signatures
Filling empty positions and moving candidates through the hiring process quickly is always a challenging. But trying to get the proper forms signed in a timely manner has been tough especially with remote working and onboarding. Wet signature requirement simply slow dow the whole process. Thanks to the latest eSignature enhancement, you can now configure forms like the I-9 (that require an actual written signature) with Wet Signature. This setting allows candidates to “wet sign” the I9 Form document in cases where an actual written signature is required.
Administrators simply select the I-9 checkbox as Active for Wet Signature and now the I-9 is ready for e-signature. No more printing and mailing out forms to be signed and waiting to get them back! This can be used for benefit enrollment forms and custom forms too. If Biometrics is configured, the user is prompted for the biometrics entry, but can access the Wet Signature option if needed.

2. Multiple Uploads Allowed Across Platform
Many organizations are striving for paperless employee records management and paperless processes for onboarding and benefits enrollment. The OnePoint HCM platform can facilitate this, but previously, you could only upload all files one at a time, which was extremely time-consuming. In Release 71, we give our clients the ability to upload up to five files at the same time. This drastically reduces the time it takes to add files to the employee record and streamlines the transition to paperless records management.

3. Broadcast Messaging Communicator
Expanding our new SMS communication we are now introducing the outbound communication hub in OnePoint. Recognizing that many employees don’t log in to OnePoint unless they are at work, how can you easily push out important updates to teams or all-staff to make sure they receive it? The new Broadcast Messaging enhancement allows managers and administrators to send messages to their employee en masse. A single message can be sent to employee at the same time using a one-time message or using a template.
Employees have to opt-in to the notification preferences in order to receive company communications through email, SMS,* mailbox, push notifications, and/or even compatible smartwatches. Now, whether it be a reminder to approve their timecard or informing them of a change in the organization’s hours, your single message with get to all your employees the way they want to receive communications.

4. Today’s Tasks Widget
The Today’s Task bar was built as a convenient way for employees and managers to quickly see workforce tasks assigned to them. The Today’s Tasks bar has been enhanced to include additional visibility on the home screen for recruiters and managers.
Managers with permission to view the anniversary calendar and the birthday calendar can now display anniversary and birthday information for their teams. This automation leverages data already in the system and makes it easier for managers to give the little shout outs that build rapport and engagement. Additionally, recruiters with access to the “applicants” report now have the ability to add “Interviews to Attend” on their Today's Tasks lis on their home screen.

5. Master Timesheet - Simplify Multi-EIN Timekeeping
We have many clients that operate in different locations with separate tax ID numbers. Manual Timekeeping in a multi EIN can be very time consuming for managers and administrators struggling with multiple timesheets across several locations. With the Master Timesheet enhancement, all that information is condensed into one timesheet.
This is a major improvement for both managers, administrators and employees. Gain real-time visibility into time punches and total time worked across different locations easy. Employees who work at different locations can see all their time punches and request time off all from one place. Read about the new timesheet experience released in Release 70.

6. Base Compensation/Pay Grade Updates in HR Actions
At the end of the year many organizations complete the performance review process. Employees that have met their performance goals will be receiving salary increases. To avoid having to calculate retro pay for her employees, Camille decides to future-date the salary increases in OnePoint system. Previously, an error was sometimes displayed in the system saying that Employee Pay is not within the selected pay grade. With this latest enhancement, the system has been updated to apply the HR action’s effective date (the future date selected by the administrator) to the pay grade. This gives you the ability to update and approve salary increases without an error message popping up as long as the base compensation is within the assigned pay grade for the future date.
6a. New notifications when base comp is changed via automatic pay grades/steps
This enhancement also makes it possible to change an employee’s base compensation, AND automatically trigger a new notification. This notification informs all parties involved about the change to the base compensation. Since the manager, employee and the HR Department are notified of the change immediately, it begins the necessary processes needed to perform and the entire process of increasing salary is streamlined.

7. Profiles: HR Action Added to Review Effects in Performance Review Profiles
As mentioned above, year end is the time when employers are conducting performance reviews. Many employees will receive salary increases and will end up receiving promotions, for meeting their performance goals. With the latest Profiles enhancement, HR can now check off an HR Action box within the Review Effects widget of Performance Review Profiles. This means that once an employee’s performance review is submitted the salary increase and promotion process will automatically be triggered—instead of her having to manually generate a separate HR action. Once again, this saves time and streamlines the promotion process for employees.

8. Option to End Performance Reviews For Terminated Employees
Here's the scenario: A direct report transfers to another location in a different state because his wife got a new job. Even though he still works for the organization, the organization is a separate entity with a unique Employer Identification Number. This means he will technically be terminated from his current company and hired at the new location. But maybe his performance review has already kicked off and the employee has already completed his self-review. This enhancement allows the ability to terminate the employees performance review without leaving it as an outstanding review that appears incomplete.
8a. Option to reassign "to-do items" for terminated managers
Now assume the terminated employee is a supervisor with pending performance reviews in addition to his own self-review. The reassign “to-do items” for terminated managers enhancement, allows HR to immediately reassign those pending reviews to a different manager to complete. This will trigger a list of "To-do" items to be sent to the new manager. Alerting them of new tasks ensures employees’ performance reviews get completed as quickly and efficiently as possible.

9. Option To Bypass Employee Signature Step In All “to-do items” Reports
Maybe you have an employee disagree with feedback from a review and refuse to sign her performance review. The bypass employee signature enhancement, allows HR to bypass the Employee Signature step, finalize the review, and have it recorded in the employee’s record. This enhancement helps clean up the process and ensure the feedback and necessary steps are finalized, even when an employee doesn’t agree with their review. HR can complete the review process for the rest of the employees without the one employee holding up the process. Then you can go back and set a separate time to meet with the employee and her manager to discuss the given feedback and finalize their review.
